Voip stands for – Voice over IP

VoIP  ( Voice over Internet Protocol ) is a method for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia over the Internet Protocol (IP) networks, like the Internet. VoIP also known as IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB), voice over network ( VoN ) broadband telephony, IP communications, and broadband phone service.

Using VoIP you can make a free, or very low cost, telephone calls over the Internet. You can call any telephone in the world and any telephone can call you – regardless of what equipment or network the person you are calling uses, just like the traditional phone line.

As we already said the biggest advantage of using the VoIP service is the cost, Also because VoIP uses digital, internet technologies many new features and services that were previously impossible, or very expensive using traditional telephone technology, become available. This means you can have many free or low cost features such as voicemail, voicemail to email, music on hold, call diverts, forks, etc.
